Vaya uses the peer group lending model to offer unsecured, income-generating loans. Over the years, Vaya has pioneered tab-banking, and with the adoption of the government’s UIDAI public infrastructure scheme, we have made our services more efficient and secure.
Vaya leverages the the customer’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) account and mobile connectivity to disburse the loan directly into the borrower’s bank account. As an NBFC-MFI, Vaya follows the RBI defined margin caps on the rates charged to its borrowers – 10% or 12% based on cost of funds and the average base rate of the 5 largest commercial banks every quarter. Vaya also recovers actual cost of insurance from the borrowers.
